St Giles

Sandhurst Road Bodiam Robertsbridge
01580 830925

St Giles is in the historic village of Bodiam above the castle, surrounded by beautiful countryside.  The church is largely from the 14th century but the base of the tower dates from the 12th century.  It is set in a peaceful churchyard away from the hurly burly of the village and tourists.  Services are held on 1st and 3rd Sunday each month at 11.15am, where you can be assured of a warm welcome, with a relaxed traditional style of worship and liturgy. Evening Prayer is said in church each Thursday at 6.00pm, and the Eucharist is celebrated on all major festivals.

There is a lively and newsy parish magazine twinned with Ewhurst -  Ewhurst & Bodiam Parish News, which is available in church, at the Castle Inn and at Staplecross Village Stores, price £1 or by subscription, £5 per year.  The magazine accepts advertising and editorial submissions, contact the editor Linda Stevens at [email protected] .  There is also a website for the parish magazine at https://www.ewhurstbodiamparishnews.com
